“I believe that we as people have the power and will to change almost anything, but working together makes it easier. The people of Wisconsin have taken great actions towards tackling this pandemic, whether it’s government enforced or not, and have yet to slow down. I believe that if we were to get one city to follow a set plan, the rest will join. Growing up here, we have a tremendous amount of kind-hearted people and I know if we work together, the whole state could make an impact on this pandemic.

The first person that comes to my mind when thinking about their safety would be my mother. She has been with me my whole life and has been my best friend throughout the process. I’ve had some struggles in my life, but my mom has always been by my side. She’s been the reason I’m such a caring and hardworking individual, because everything I do is to show my appreciation to her and thanking her for the life she’s given me. I also have my grandmother who is at risk due to this pandemic. I think of her everyday, hoping and praying that she’s healthy. These are the people I think about when it comes to protecting others in this pandemic. Who are you working to protect?

During this pandemic, the least you could do is help others in this time of need and hurt. By providing comfort and healing, I believe as a community we could push through this pandemic. Like I stated earlier, we’re a kind-hearted state and being there for your community is a great help. Even a simple call or text to your neighbors or loved ones goes a long way, and everyone could use some extra love in their life. The faster we all come together and fix one community, we can fix plenty more and rise above the pandemic.

What’s the first (and easiest!) step you can take to do your part? Wear a mask! In order to rise above this pandemic, we must ALL wear masks to prevent the spread. Do your part, be a good neighbor. Let’s do this together.”
