According to Wisconsinite Jayda Resch, you don’t need to be a politician to lobby for America’s healthcare professionals. In fact, it might be our duty as public citizens to support them, even if that just means being vocal.
In a recent post on Instagram, Jayda does more than thank our nurses and doctors for their service, she sheds light on their desperate need for the supplies necessary to win the fight against COVID-19:
“I don’t know if you have noticed, but the world is a very scary place right now. Covid-19 has struck the world and has completely taken over our lives. As the number of people infected rises, we need to be using our voices to raise awareness on how to protect and defend the people who are risking their health everyday to care for patients when they are at risk of becoming patients themselves.
Healthcare workers are not getting the proper equipment they need to fight this battle the way they should be. There is not enough PPE being provided to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers who are risking their health around the clock. The government needs to be held responsible for the lack of supplies that is being distributed. We need to work together to get the healthcare workers the proper equipment they need to allow them to continue to do their jobs.”
