“Your vote has never mattered more than it does right now. This nation was further divided by responses to the horrific death of George Floyd. Climate change is at an all time worst. After the death of Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, millions of women fear for their rights, even now in 2020. Social issues are nothing new, they’ve just become so prevalent in social media conversations, but those conversations mean nothing if you don’t vote. President Trump is trying to scare our country by tweeting that mailing in your ballot will “lead to massive corruption and fraud,” that foreign powers will “forge ballots”, and that the “only way we’re going to lose this election is if the election is rigged”. This is simply NOT true. President Trump is trying to weaponize your vote and scare you that mail in voting is not safe. Voting IS safe, and voting is necessary. Whether that’s submitting an absentee ballot or voting in person on November 3rd, please vote like your life depends on it, because even if you think yours doesn’t, millions of others do.”
We’re Only Vocal If We’re Vocal At The Ballot Box
Sam Vicchiollo sees a nation that has never been more divided. Between the horrific death of George Floyd, an eroding climate, and now the death of Ruth Bader Ginsbsurg, the division seems to be ramping up to November. And while Sam commends those who are speaking up in public and on social media, he knows that our voices are far more powerful if we project them on Election day, at the ballot box.
